AR app showdown: "Augmented reality apps still struggle to work with iPhone" at VentureBeat

Good analysis of the iPhone’s current lack of support for all types of augmented reality applications. Specifically, APIs for manipulating live video are forcing developers to hack solutions which are not accepted into the App Store.
