Roughly 20 iPhone apps appear in their directory. It’s a little outdated, but it is some indication that mobile AR is still in its infancy.
UrbanSpoon, one of the most popular apps for the iPhone from Apple, makes use of augmented reality to superimpose nearby restaurants on a live video feed from the phone’s camera.
Seattle-based Urbanspoon was bought by web giant IAC/InterActive Corp. in April and has six employees.

WhereMark for the iPhone is the new augmented reality application available for download soon from the app store. WhereMark allows users to “augment” reality by splicing user information and a real world video feed. WhereMark allows users to search, save, send, and share wheremarks, creating virtual markers in physical space.
